One of the formalities involved in your move is the declaration of value. This is mandatory and essential to protect your rights and your family assets.
For the duration of your move, we are responsible for any loss or damage to the furniture entrusted to us. We are therefore obliged to cover you for any material damage that may occur to your belongings and for which we are liable, to the exclusion of cases of force majeure, inherent defect of the item, act of a third party or fault of the customer.
Please indicate the total value of the goods entrusted to us. Agree with our moving consultant on the maximum value to be assigned to each item or group of items taken individually and not specifically valued on the declaration of value.
We are effectively responsible for your furniture for the entire period during which you entrust it to us. However, it is up to you to set the maximum amount of compensation that would be awarded to you in the theoretical event of a total loss.
To answer these questions, our moving consultant will provide you with a document entitled "declaration of value". You must complete this document, which must be received and registered by the company at least 5 days before your move. You keep one of the copies of your declaration of value. In case of doubt or uncertainty, please do not hesitate to contact us.
In accordance with current regulations, you are covered by the company's contractual liability.
In accordance with article 4 of our general terms and conditions of sale, you have the option of choosing our "Must" damage cover, as specified in the declaration of value document, under the heading "Choice of cover type".
The "Must" guarantee is yours if you have formally requested it. In all cases, your choice is clearly specified on our quotation.
