Our technical resources

Access to a home is not always easy and, depending on the situation, movers may have to use special technical equipment.

The furniture lift

Positioned on the outside of the home, it will be used to move items up or downstairs through a window. Very practical, it can be used to move bulky objects or furniture which cannot be brought up through the stairwell or cramped hallway. Not only does it save time, it also reduces mover fatigue.

There are several types of furniture lift:

- Although limited in height (3 or 4 storeys maximum) and weight (200kg), thenestable electric ladder is very practical, as it can be installed in tight spaces. It is assembled directly on site, and requires little set-back.

- The towed furniture lift, which is towed by a vehicle, then installed on the premises to be moved. It can carry a load of between 250 and 400kg, and its length generally varies between 20 and 37 meters (about 12 storeys), depending on the model.

- The self-propelled furniture lift is installed on a special vehicle. While its size doesn't allow it to be installed everywhere, it does have the advantage of serving tall buildings - up to 55m for the largest models.

Tail elevators

The tail elevator is a lifting device specifically designed for loading and unloading goods. It assists with handling, makes handling safer and minimizes downtime. Lifting capacity varies according to model.

Forklift trucks

Most of our depots are equipped with forklift trucks to handle furniture storage boxes.
