Set up in 1980 by a handful of companies, its primary vocation is to recharge empty vehicles on their way back to base.
This economic approach should enable companies to lower their production costs in order to offer more competitive prices to their customers, without this saving being achieved at the expense of quality.
With a dozen companies, the network, then in the form of an economic interest group, organized its first removals meetings in 1990, and rapidly grew to include 42 members at the beginning of 1991.
At that time, Interdem decided to set up a central structure with additional objectives such as the development of assistance to companies, the active search for new members and the development of framework agreements with major French and foreign companies.
Created in 1980 by Claude FAGES, it was initially a franchise.
The economic motivations behind this approach are the same as for the initiators of Interdem.
In 1989, the franchise was abandoned, giving rise to a cooperative society that brought together all member companies.
In 1995, Frandem brought together 40 companies specializing in removals.
The two groups are made up of companies with a similar structure, committed to the same code of ethics and quality of service. It was therefore only natural that their managers should meet and decide to combine their efforts to form a leading removals group in Europe.
With the merger, 82 companies have joined forces to offer their customers an innovative sales approach.
